"Such a beautiful mansion with fascinating history. The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond in their service. It was lovely to sit in one of the rockers on the front porch in the evening and read. The breakfast was delicious and the table was beautifully set. The tour after breakfast is definitely worth it so don't skip it. It was full of interesting information and history. I'd stay again, with pleasure. "

"This hotel is a landmark and was built in 1886. They offer a free tour of the hotel which I would recommend. It's very well maintained while keeping all it's original charm. Downtown location is perfect - we did not need a car to get around the city. Staff well very helpful, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!"

"We were really looking forward to staying at the Malaga after looking at the pictures online as it looked so quaint and had historical significance. However; our room was not as pictured at all. The room is very outdated and definitely needs some attention. We also could not get wifi while in the room. It met our needs for a one night stay, but not sure I would stay again unless we could get an updated room."

"It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too. "
