"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "This hotel is gorgeous with 100 yr. old elegance. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable which allows one to ignore a smaller room (due to the age of the hotel). It is not the fault of the hotel that vagrants encircle the neighborhood causing some pause in a desire to explore the neighborhood. "

"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good. On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....

"I absolutely loved this hotel. It was pretty clean for an old building. It has that old historic feel to it and the hotel throughout look really cool. A lot of the stuff is pretty outdated but that is okay because I think it is supposed to look that way because of the history behind the hotel and it adds to the charm of the history.
