"Allen Park is great overall, but what has made it special is the people. Such great staff and service. The food in the restaurant is FANTASTIC too. We've loved our stay here. "

"Friars Wynd hotel was an incredibly unique boutique hotel on my 3 week UK road trip. Within this area parking is very limited, but there was a car park within 100 feet of my door. There is free parking after 5 PM I think? Until about 8am? Which was completely acceptable. The room was absolutely adorable and I had a wonderful soak in their very large clean tub after driving several hours. Check in was very simple with Harry in the pub, which is connected to the hotel. She was such a delight. I highly suggest spending a few minutes talking with her about the area. She also recommended an amazing dinner when I asked for a budget friendly pub. No. 2 Baker street was great!! Best steak pie ever! I was able to just leave my hotel room key in the room when I checked out. I thought there was an issue with the toilet flushing and Harry immediately & professionally had maintenance ready to come. However, there was no issue. It was just my lack of experience with older systems. The manager called her right back and told me just to literally hold it for a couple more seconds. The toiletries were fantastic and I loved the big soft towels!! Wonderful assortment of coffee, tea, and biscuits. (Cookies for Americans)
I loved the entrance that led to a hallway directly to my unique ground. I felt very safe at the hotel and in the area! Thank you Harry"
"The pre arrival information was comprehensive and we had no problems finding the accommodation, gaining access and parking. The area was perfect for sightseeing, if needed the hop on bus stopped jest a minutes walk away. We also arranged a visit to the observatory at the Stirling Highland Hotel which was close by so thanks to Bert for that. The accommodation was high quality and had everything you need either to cook at home or make a light meal. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We didn’t need the bunk rooms but the two main rooms were large and nicely decorated. Fans were available if needed and there was an outdoor space to sit ( great as we had lovely weather). We really appreciated the welcome pack and the chalk board with recommendations for visits and where to eat.We were at the jail so that was a must see as was the Castle just a few minutes walk away and the local church. The Portcullis pub was between those two buildings so great for drinks and a meal. Lots of places nearby for food and drink to suit everyone’s needs.Brea was lovely for local fayre and don’t miss brunch at Vera. I recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the area - I don’t think you could do better. Thanks to our hosts. "
