"Room was clean, towels were not changed daily and tea/coffee facilities were not replenished every day, luckily I had taken my own. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Pool area was good main pool was bright but a bit dark and dangerous in areas, the hot tub was not very clean or clear you could not see the steps to get in, needs lighting to see where you are going, health a safety hazard. Nice to have a bar on the poolside, and it stayed open till late. Lots of people in the on-site pub in bathrobes eating and drinking as you had to go through pub to get to the pool. Good in the pub had a good variety to choose from reasonable priced. All in all it was a nice hotel and a pleasant stay, but the pool area definitely needs to a bit brighter to see where you are going."

"We were greeted by a lovely, friendly guy who gave us the code for our room and warned us about the low ceiling when exiting the bathroom. The room was lovely, cosy and spotlessly clean. I personally loved the wallpaper, and the beds were very comfortable. My partner, however, clearly wasn’t paying attention. 藍 After using the bathroom, he came down the steps and BANG — hit his head. I reminded him we’d literally just been warned about it. You’d think that would be the end of it. It wasn’t. Throughout the evening, he proceeded to hit his head a further FOUR TIMES, bringing the grand total to FIVE. There is even a sign saying “MIND YOUR HEAD.” At this point, I have confirmed my suspicions that my partner is, in fact, a raving idiot. Unless there was a member of staff standing there holding a flashing neon sign saying “MIND YOUR HEAD, YOU ABSOLUTE PLONKER”, I genuinely believe he’d have carried on until he eventually sustained brain damage. 😂 Thankfully, it had absolutely no negative consequences for me as I’m only 5ft tall. In fact, watching it unfold provided some of the entertainment highlights of our stay. 藍 This is absolutely NOT a negative review! Lovely hotel, beautiful decor, cosy historic town, comfy beds and some great pubs serving good food within walking distance. Highly recommend — just mind your head. And if you’re travelling with an idiot like my partner, pack a helmet. 😂❤️ Thank you for a lovely stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (one for each bump)"

"Really clean, well equipped cottage, very central and convenient. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Felt like staying in a home with lovely furnishings and kitchenwaters, not just a rental with tatty basics. Very weloming of our dog.Hosts very kind, provided lots of information, maps etc (perhaps better as seperate documents as we know the area well and didnt need any of it). The only thing that would improve it is a place for wet coats/boots by either door to stop you dripping everywhere. Be aware it's a family bathroom on 2nd floor and shower room on ground floor, with bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floors which worked fine for us."
