"It was great to stay in an historic hotel and learn about the history of the property and the town. Loved the ornate beauty of the rooms and the king sized bed was comfortable. The option of breakfast in the dining room was a plus. Emily was sweet and eager to please the guests. "

"Beautiful property, cleanliness and the warmth of this home is above the standard. My family "7" kids from 4-15 and my wife loved the stay! And when we come back to West Virginia this will be our go too. Communication is above par. We had rain Thursday evening and friday but the back porch was absolutely perfect for the rain we all sat out and just connected and unwound. Would recommend to anyone... And we already recommended to other family that live out of state. "

"I would not recommend this campground. I left after one night. The owner lists amenities that do not exist on the property. For example, it lists a communal pool (reality is two swim holes) and a pond. States there is a grill but does not state that it is located across the campground for communal use. The main reason why we left is due to the inability to connect to the Wi-Fi (as listed). I was depending on this amenity to perform job duties while visiting. The Wi-Fi was at best "spotty", making doing any work impossible. I abandoned the property and drove home so I could work. The owner will not refund my money because he stated that I should have reported these issues prior to leaving. However, calling spectrum to increase the Wi-Fi speed, creating a pool, and supplying a grill were not things that he could fix on a whim. I suggested more accurate advertising would go a long way. "

"What a great property and amazing host. Our check in details were provided well before our check in time which makes everything work smoothly. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals and also a grill outside with a side burner. We ate in the whole trip. There was a great fire pit outside and patio furniture to enjoy the outdoors. There was also a Huge tv for our movie night. The deer were everywhere and so enjoyable to watch. Brian , thank you for hosting us and making our trip so special! It’s a great place to get away from the city and unplug! We will be back !"

"Beautiful sunsets. Right off the road but very quiet and surrounded by dense tree cover. Located near Stonewall Resort and state park lands. Super soft beds. Driveway passable in low clearance car(summertime). "
