The room was cozy, I stayed in Lily ponds, was a little hard to find at first but I think that was more user error. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed in one of the glamping domes at the Elk River Hotel and it was perfect! Came to the area for a marathon and it was the perfect little spot for an overnight stay. Wish we could’ve spent more time honestly. It was very clean, the AC worked great, and the rain sounded so nice at night. The woman who checked us in was so NICE! And she even coordinated with a friend of mine to stock my room with some marathon treats and gifts as a sweet surprise for me! So I hope you see this and know how much I appreciate you!

Staff was super friendly. The free hot breakfast was nice, they also had free snacks. The public areas they have are cute and charming with pretty views of the river. Unfortunately the room was kind of gross, lots of dust and some mold in the bathroom. The half the pillows on the bed smelled so musty that we had to throw them on the floor.

This was such a cool experience with two of my daughters. Staying in the glamping dome during a rainstorm on a river was amazing. The owner was so incredibly helpful and breakfast was delicious!

The place is very unique located in a very interesting small town. Check in was quick and easy, staff was very welcoming and friendly. A very good freshly cooked breakfast was served, an unexpected treat. The glamping dome was much roomier than I expected. Very comfortable, it did rain the night we were there so the viewing was not the best but the sleep was excellent.

The glamping dome was very fun to stay in. We enjoyed it! The breakfast was very hearty and healthy. We'd stay again next time we are in WV. The Flatwoods Monster and Big Foot Museums are intetesting glimpses into the unique cryptid sightings in WV and are only a few blocks down from the Elk Hotel.

There should be a map of the property in the lobby when you check in, since no one was there to tell us where our room was when we arrived on Wednesday afternoon. The room was decent and clean, and my wife and I enjoyed sitting out on the deck on Thursday evening.

We stayed in the lake room. We didn't get to enjoy the outside balcony because it rained most of the time. But the room was clean. Just a little musty. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. They are very pet friendly

Very happy with my choice to stay here. Staff was very nice, Francisco cleaned the snow off my car my first morning there. Duke was an excellent breakfast companion. Hotel is a great central location on WV for my week long vacation to explore the state. The town is close to major highways, but small enough I enjoyed the quiet after coming home from a day of driving/exploring. I will be back here next time I take a visit to WV!

We stayed in one of the riverfront domes, it was an excellent setting. Domes are nicely setup, have everything you need and the heating/AC work great. Bar had a decent selection of drinks including wines, beer and mixed cocktails. Host was great and adjacent to the property there is EV charger. We live 9 hours away and would consider going back for a few days.

The grounds were very nice with yard games and fire pits. Nice area right on the Elk River. Cute little bar to relax and get a drink. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good. The "dome"we stayed in appeared very clean, however, my only complaint was the "musty" smell. I should have asked for different accommodations (which would have given owners opportunity to fix the situation) but was very tired from driving all day so decided to put up with it for the night.
