"If you're a all creatures great and small fan, it's perfect, as you walk in you actually walk into the "drovers". If you're not a fan it will take you back it's an unchanged farmers country pub, but don't let that deter you, the rooms are stunningly clean, the staff friendly and very attentive."

"My wife and I were pleasantly surprised just how nice the hotel was, the staff were really nice and the room very comfortable and cleaned daily, it's an old building so it's not like a modern hotel but adds to the character with oak beams, the only downside was no lift so as we were on the top floor it was a bit of a haul with the suitcases but the view of the market square was quaint. However the breakfast is amazing, choice of cerials, juices, milks, tea, coffee, pastries, muffins, breads butters, jams and a toaster plus an extensive cooked breakfast menu or they will cook you any combination The village of Masham is small but well situated to travel around Yorkshire. We loved every day and visited Harrogate one day which has a lovely park"

Breakfast was brought to your room rather than in the restaurant, this was different and gave the option for having breakfast in bed. The only downside was that the door for the stairwell at the end of the hallway kept slamming. This door was next to our room which was quite frustrating."
