"The Octagon was a great venue for a Memorial Day Weekend trip of eight life-long friends. Our 47th year! The house was perfect sized and offering room to hang out inside as well as outside by the fire pit. We cooked three dinners and found the kitchen perfect for our needs. Very secluded and no fear of disturbing neighbors with music or yelling during horseshoes matches. The Tioga Golf Club was just minutes down the road and the bike trip down the Pine Creek Canyon was easy but beautiful. A great place."

"Had a wonderful trip here! The location of the cabin is great, the property is great. We saw beaver, deer, rabbits, bald eagles, red and gray squirrels and on a scenic ride we took nearby we saw a black bear. It rained a few days of our stay so we were able to enjoy games inside. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom is nicely stocked and for a longer stay there is a in unit washer and dryer available. It was our 4th time staying in this cabin and definitely will not be our last. Thank you so much for another amazing stay! "

"We stayed in Oak Cabin & it was perfect (except we didn’t get a fire starter this time & I am terrible at building a fire). The building is sturdy & offers warmth or cool, depending on when you are there. There are fire pits all over so you can enjoy your own company. There beds were comfortable, the decor was cozy. All utensils needed are available. The sound of Pine Creek flowing is relaxing. Only disappointment (which was totally tolerable) was that I wanted a T-shirt from the Welcome Center, but had no idea how to unlock the cabinets to get one. Otherwise, this place is absolutely top notch. I booked the main cabin for October & have decided that even if I don’t find 15 other people to join us, we are still going to stay there!"

"Pros: Modern hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean. Cons: Breakfast was nothing special. I would have liked a slightly nicer spread. We grabbed something else while on the road. Also, while we did not stay in the older part of the hotel. So, I don't know what that is like."

"Shabby - shabby - chic Historic Pennwells. Pros: Lots of character. Very friendly staff - but everyone is friendly in Wellsboro. Good restaurant and tavern on site. They share the same menus. The interiors of each are unique and terrific. The hotel is in the center of town and walkable to everything. Cons: old and shabby - but it's a bit cool at the same time."

"My husband and I travel to Wellsboro 2-3 times a year and we always stay at the Canyon Motel. They are always very friendly and accommodating and they keep the property spotless."
