"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Verde Zanzibar! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautiful, with friendly staff and excellent service. We truly enjoyed our experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Thank you for making our stay memorable! ❤️"

"This is a hotel of opposites. Great location in stone town but down a dark alley you can’t quite drive to the door. Helpful reception but we’d booked 3 rooms and they initially gave us 2. Lovely clean spacious rooms but others with no view or very noisy. Wonderful old character but random electrical sockets - could only have the (empty) fridge OR the kettle OR the light plugged in. Clean bathroom with plenty of hot water and shower gel but no soap to wash hands at the basin. Great terrace for...

"Air conditioning work great and the hotel is in a great location"

"The resort was very clean and well maintained, there was a peacefulness which you would not get in the more busier resorts. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Only thing I would say is that the dinner service was quite slow, however food was quite good."

"Breakfast was nice. This hotel is near the sights in Stone Town. Walk through the narrow shopping streets to the slave market in just a few minutes. Freddie Mercury residence is just around the corner from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, although I did have to ask 4 times to get the TV working."

"A wonderful stay in the heart of Stone Town! We stayed at Emerson Spice during our trip to Zanzibar and what a fantastic place it is! The hotel is full of character, with beautiful traditional architecture and a real sense of Zanzibar’s history. It’s completely different from your typical hotel, which is exactly what makes it so special. The location is brilliant for exploring Stone Town, with everything within easy walking distance. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, and staying here...

"Extremely slow check in and “room assignments.” Location of bedroom was in a place very noisy all day and all night long. Besides, we had to sleep with the window open (which didn’t help with the noise either) as the smell of the room was very strong (probably a chemical for the mosquitoes). Breakfast was ok. Location was very good close to Stone Town little streets and port."
