"This hotel is conveniently located near Friedrichstraße Station, so is close to transport links, shops and restaurants, but down a side street so with little passing traffic. There is a good German restaurant right next door. The interior of the hotel is nicely decorated and seemed well maintained. There is a small pool in the basement, it seemed clean but a little unloved. If you want a bathrobe it's a extra €5, which seemed a bit cheeky given that it's not a cheap hotel. Our room was a decent size, with a TV, fridge, and kettle. The beds/pillows were comfortable. When we needed reception they were helpful and friendly. We didn't book breakfast at the hotel as it seemed very expensive (€25), but there are several cafes nearby. We ate at the Checkpoint restaurant once, the staff were nice but there was a long delay when one of our main courses was brought out but the other one wasn't for well over 30 minutes. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to most of the sights of central Berlin. We had a nice stay but weren't there a lot."

"I looked at many hotels, but none offered this spectular BALCONY view over the Spree! The location is AWESOME in the center of all the historical sites. We walked 20-25 minutes to The Brandenburg Gate / Reichstag / Checkpoint Charlie / Mall of Berlin. The restaurant choices around the hotel were mind blowing. Recommend Factory Girl for breakfast. The falafel place outside the station was good good ate a Falafel & Houloumi wrap EVERYDAY. Thai soup inside the station was also great. Yes the other reviews are correct, you need to do self check-in with a kiosk in the lobby even when a receptionist is present. It litterally takes 5 minutes and really people net to get over it - its their system. Yes the pillows are way too soft, it didnt bother me I jsut stacked them, but along with the inidivual sized comforters (instead of a king size) it did bother my husband and he had poor sleep with jet lag for 2 nights. If you are a difficult sleeper this may not work as the bed is definitely harder than the US. And there is dim lighting in the entire room and restrooms - hard to see when getting ready. BUT for me, the room was larged sized with great decor, and the VIEW from the BALCONY was so mesmerizing. Sat every day in the balcony morning and night and could see the TV Tower in one direction and so many boats cruising and people crossing the bridge next to us! WONDERFUL!!"

"I did like my stay here, but the reason why I gave it four stars was that they do not clean all of their bedding in between each guest, which is disgusting. They don’t clean the blankets between each guest nor the bottom sheet.. this is just not sanitary. So if you stay here, please request new ones! I did like they had free coffee and tea all day.. they also had a hairdryer and iron that you could put a € 10 deposit.. which was OK. The other thing I didn’t like about it was smoking was everywhere and it would come through the window windows so the capsule area smelled like smoke.. yes, I’m American so I hate this!"
