"The door lock to our room didn’t lock properly, so we had to baracade the door to stop anyone entering during the night. Especially when the BBC news that weekend we stayed says unwanted people are entering hotel rooms with thefts and rape cases are on the up - Not good! The layout of our rooms have health and safety issues we could’ve easily tripped down the dark staircase from the bathroom to our bedroom. On a good point the rooms were very clean, so a great job from the maids\cleaners. "

"The location is wonderful right on the seafront, with a car park. The property itself could do with modernising throughout. The bar area vibe doesn’t match the style of the building. My room wasn’t particularly clean the headboard had dust and the tv was covered in dust and the remote was sticky and dirty. The shower didn’t have hot water. We didn’t have a comfortable sleep as the bed was hard and lumpy. If the rooms had a refresh it would be a great place to stay."

"Our room was excellent, wonderfully clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and courteous. The public spaces are a little tired. The breakfast room / restaurant is basic. The parking is an absolute nightmare. Just pay for the parking permit to park on the Main Street to avoid the stress of finding a parking space."

"Fantastic location right on the harbour, lots to see and do within walking distance. Located in a building separate to the main restaurant/bar, so no issue with any noise. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Note no parking and your best option is the Harbour arm carpark, which is £20 for 24hours. "

"We did not have breakfast. there were shops nearby. our room was dirty. there was mould in the shower. the curtains were torn. the chair was broken. we were given 2 uncovered teabags and 2 mugs and a kettle only. the 2 bath towels were not new. no face cloths or handcloths. the room stunk because the carpet was very dirty. our room had no bedside lamp. "

"This apartment is superb. Finished to the highest standard and equipped with everything you could possibly want. Great location and stupendous views. Lovely, helpful staff too. One thing I would add if I were to stay in winter time: curtains in living room. This would help the acoustics too. Overall, we were very happy and would love to return."

"Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "
