"I booked a premium room but when I arrived they put me in a room that was really small and rundown looking. I asked the front desk to move me and they did very quickly and the remainder of my stay was great!"

"Such a lovely hotel the staff were so friendly and loved how helpful they were. The complimentary wine for my daughters 30th birthday was a nice touch equally so were the slippers at the side of the bed and the chocolate waiting at the side of the bed when we got back after watching “the devil wears Prada” Would definitely stay again x"

"Very clean and nice hotel, friendly staff especially Michael at concierge and Mani behind the bar who went above and beyond for us all weekend. Also the staff at reception who gave us an upgrade for my wife’s 50th birthday. Breakfast was very nice and overall a very nice hotel. A couple of negatives was that the bar closed at 10.15 as it would have been nice to come back to hotel for a nightcap. And the shower in our room went from nice to scorching hot and then nice to freezing cold. Room 701"

The Newman

"Great hotel with some of the best designed and finished rooms in London. The quality really is high. The gym is well equipped but a bit small during peak hours. The spa is superb, the sauna, salt room and impressive hydro-pool of particular note. Bring ear plugs, the windows are not up to the central location on Newman Street sadly. Much like many other hotels at this level they charge a room service charge on top of the rate which is an increasing frustration. Hide it in the rate, this is the UK, It's the first restaurant I've seen creep to 13.5% service above industry norm of 10-12.5%."

Hotel Cavendish

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed for four nights at the STG down the street and it was so depressing, tiny, and no tea service. Moved to the Cavendish and we were so happy! No AC, but didn't need it in June. Daily room attention, tea service, and much better room size. The light from the window was lovely, and they provided a fan. Breakfast was adequate- not a full English breakfast, but we had plenty with freshly boiled eggs, pastries, fruit, and cereal."

Zedwell Underground Hotel Tottenham Court Road

4/10 Poor

"This is a creepy, dystopian hotel four stories underground. If the creepiness and claustrophobia weren't enough, my shower didn't drain and my air conditioning didn't work. No one came to swap out my soaking towel (from cleaning up the non-draining shower). Stay anywhere else if you can afford it."
