"The staff at this hotel were excellent! They proactively engaged with me before the trip to ensure everything was in order and to see if I needed any help. They answered all my questions prior to arrival and they arranged airport transportation after our stay. They were also attentive offering water to us whenever we returned (it was very hot in Palermo during our stay). The restaurant they recommended was excellent mom and pop place (not a tourist trap) about a 10 minute walk. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of four. The pictures of the hotel are accurate. The decor was unique, one of a kind. It’s a unique hotel with history, character, and charm. If in Palermo again, this is where we will stay. "

"Love the Hotel location, easy access to anywhere if walking. Recommend not driving but the hotel does have a company who picks up your car and parks it, they bring it to you when you need it, very good. Check out driving restrictions in the area, call hotel. Only thing is the bathroom showers need better cleaning and updating. The rooftop restaurant is fabulous and bar! Excellent service and quality. I would recommend they add coffee Keurig machines in the room. Americans need early coffee and could easily buy coffee pods and water for the machine. The staff is fabulous!"

"Hotel Ballaro is gorgeous; walking up the grand staircase into the hotel area almost feels like you could be a background character in Romeo and Juliet. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready on our arrival, despite having sent our flight information ahead of time, and we were missed receiving the instructions on how to actually enter the building once we found it, but once that was sorted out, we had a lovely stay."

"This was a lovely experience. Clean, modern and spacious rooms and extremely helpful staff. It’s very new so still a few small kinks/touches being ironed out but overall we had a really nice stay. We especially enjoyed the beautiful jacuzzi and the thoughtful breakfast. Very comfortable beds too. "

"Beautiful old building with lovely inner courtyard with a fountain. Roof could be drawn back. Very central location easy walk from the station which was useful as we arrived by train in the evening from Naples. Large, clean, comfortable room. Very good breakfast. All at a very good price. "
