"We had a lovely stay. As we visited for an event nearby there wasn’t much time to explore the area but the cottage was a great base. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. The dogs loved the large garden and we would definitely return."

"A beautiful property that was perfect for our needs. There were five adults and four children in our group and it catered, and was accessible, for all. Supermarkets are close, the views are fantastic, and the house itself was clean and tidy. We had to switch the timer off on the heating as it was very cold with it on but the house warmed up very quickly and it was really warm after a while. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone."

"Great faculties and location is perfect - in a small quiet street across the road from nice sandy beach. Co-op is just across the street and few local take aways and cafes. Just perfectly placed. "We recently stayed at May Cottage and it was just what we needed. The cottage is lovely and much bigger than we anticipated, especially the bedrooms - they’re a really big! Kitchen has everything you need and even though we had taken hand wash and washing up liquid etc, it was all provided. Even dishwasher tablets! The views from the garden are exceptional and it was very quiet. We loved sitting watching the families of swallows flying in and out of their nests and listening their babies...

"Beautiful, peaceful, cosy. I could go on. The cottage was modern and cosy at the same time. There was a welcome hamper which contained a variety of items which would allow you to eat if you’d brought nothing with you including a cuppa or cappuccino ( with pain au chocolat). The host welcomed us and was available and asked how things were in passing. I would recommend this property and location to anyone. We had a wonderful time."

"We had a wonderful time - Cottage is perfectly placed - 50 yds from a choice of wonderful walks left to the Harbour & on to St Abbs Head, or turn right to Coldingham and beyond. Very impressed with the accommodation - cosy and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, and the Tunnocks wafers were a very nice extra - thank you!"

"A gorgeous and very comfortable house for me and my family( me, husband, 2.5 yr old and 5 month old). Great location for the beach and 20 min walk to St. Abbs. Lovely beds, very comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped. It was so great to have loads of dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods and coffee pods!! Thank you!"

Excellent hotel in a good location
"We stopped at the Pine Marten for 2 nights. The hotel is in a very convenient spot and was well located for us. Our room was fine - clean and comfortable with all the basic facilities necessary. Check in and check out was easy. We had a ground floor room with level access. The staff at the hotel and associated pub were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and they were very keen to make sure that my food allergies were catered for. A good hotel 👍"
