  • Stable cottage has been converted from the old stable block for Spital House. It is all on one level and is situated next to the current stables within the peaceful grounds of a private estate. There is an abundance wildlife you can view from the cottage - deer, badgers, hares and many birds. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

The house is well equipped in every way- a bit too hot within the cottage but excellent in every wayIt was a pleasant surprise to receive a welcome pack including milk in the fridge Local pub gives excellent evening meals with friendly staff.The pub is only open Wednesday- Sunday evenings.The cottage is situated well to visit place’s of interest .

Beautiful location

Liz the owner welcomed us as we arrived she is lovely, the cottage is very well equipped and the location is so lovely, near to Berwick and surrounding area found it very easily, would recommend it to all.

Great relaxing Bank Holiday weekend away from home

Lovely setting & accommodation, all as advertised. Fabulous grounds with plenty of nature,around when sat outside relaxing. Very good kitted out kitchen, and locally produced welcome treats on arrival. Thanks you very much Liz, would definitely stay again.

Stable cottage is in a beautiful location a few miles from Berwick upon Tweed and the other attractions of the Scottish Borders and North East England. It is warm cosy and well equipped and so peaceful. A car is a must if you are staying here. We had a last minute problem with dates and Liz was so helpful is changing them for us. I would recommend this cottage and will definitely revisit.
