"We drove from Florence, Oregon to Eureka, CA. We were greeted at the front desk with a smile and a request for ID and credit card. We were given the keys to the room and directed to where to park. Upon entering our room we noticed that the room was clean as was the bathroom. We were pleased with the condition of the property and the room."

"It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the Carter House Inn. We were able to check in early as we had a celebration of life to attend for a family member. Rebecca, the front desk staff was accommodating and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend this place!"

"This is a budget motel, and about as good as this kind of establishment gets. The room was spacious, the furnishings and fixtures modern. The extra-large refrigerator had a large separate freezer. The kitchen area had a toaster and two counter-top burners. There were numerous power outlets for charging devices. The room was very clean. The bath had a real tub, which I prefer. The main drawback was the closeness to the road. But the windows (with blackout curtains) were double-glazed, and traffic noise was minimal during sleeping hours. The price was very reasonable. "
