"Review of Motel 6 – Danvers, MA
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We booked this Motel 6 thinking it would be a simple, no-frills place to sleep after a late arrival and early departure. I figured, how bad could it be for one night? Unfortunately, it was much worse than expected.
When we pulled up, there were three police cars parked out front, which immediately made me uneasy. I walked into a lobby filled with the strong smell of weed, and while...

Castle Manor Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I booked this for my parents as a weekend getaway and they absolutely love it! "
"Location is perfect. With two active boys, ages 5 and 7, we could walk to the bookstore, playground and ice cream easily. Walk to beach is fine, too, though a bit longer. Balcony is great for viewing trains and cars going by. Host is very responsive. Kitchen is definitely the best equipped of any rental we have stayed in. Enough sharp knives, plenty of glasses etc. Plenty of sturdy chairs for dining. We will come again!"

"The beach is amazing, and you can walk for hours along the shore, with the calm waters cooling your feet. Sadly, there were a lot of jellyfish, which I had never seen before in this area like this - very usual. I think it was a result of recent storms. But still, they were easy to spot and avoid. The house is comfortable and lovely and we had a great time playing games, napping and reading, and visiting. The sun porch is lovely. "

"We stayed one night here - it was very conveniently located. The property was very clean and the owner was very communicative. They had a great local guidebook, although we didn't get to use it much bc we were only there one night. Would definitely go back. "
NEW -Lakefront 2 Bed / 3 bath + Extra Bed off of living room
10/10 Excellent
"We had an enjoyable stay in Essex. The lake is lovely and we took advantage of getting out on and in the water. The house, which is updated, offers multiple spots to sit indoors or out to enjoy the view. Our group was all adults, but this house and property was well set up for families with young children. Downsides included WiFi issues to start, bedding issues, and an initial concern about an algae bloom in the lake which resolved itself after a day or two but would have been a major limitation given we chose the rental based on the water access. Modern Cottage, Private Island, Unparalleled beauty

"This place was fantastic; it's in a perfect location, removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. I loved how close it was to the town center, making it easy to explore everything. The people I met were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with easy access to local attractions. It truly made my trip enjoyable!"
"Clean, updated and comfortable. Cool AC, plenty of space for 4-5; however, is on the second floor with many stairs. Plan accordingly; We would (still) stay again. "
