"True to its name, this is a quirky old cottage that's charming and rustic. The grounds are really lovely and we enjoyed eating outside every day. There isn't anything within walking distance of the cottage but there are a lot of activities within a 20 min radius. There is a lidl really close by. Access was really easy and Marco was really helpful, giving us suggestions and recommendations for things to do in the area. Overall, we had a really nice trip."

"This house is beautiful! The house was depicted exactly as the listing. It was a very large and well stocked kitchen with all the pots/pans etc you need. The garden was beautiful as well with a beautiful pool and lovely outdoor furniture to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable and home was very clean. The only thing was concerned about with the house was the beautiful staircase as I have a 3 years old and an 8 year old. The railing has large gaps so please be mindful if you have small children....

"Made a last minute booking and had no idea where we were staying. Happily surprised with being at a vineyard the first day of grape picking. It’s our first trip to Portugal, and we wanted to explore a bit. If I had a week, I’d love to stay here. It’s central to everything in the area, and it’s be fun to work with the horses a bit. "We felt the property was very damp .. tried to light a fire with damp wood , bedroom was disappointing with window onto owners car park area , bedding one blanket , tucked in style , no proper kitchen to enjoy making a snack more like a service kitchen for staff. for 5,000 Euros for two of us we felt very disillusioned . Explained to owners staff it was not for us 'thank you and left. Asked owner for partial refund / refused. "
