"We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. "Bed was comfortable, but one of them is on the window side of the curtain, so not ideal.
Nice bathroom, great shower. The door needs fixing so it closes, and a lock fitting.

"The property was very well presented, equipped and comfortable, although the bed in the eaves may be a challenge for some!It was great to be able to see (and travel on) the trains. We were invited to view the signal box.The area is lovely, with lots to do nearby.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - highly recommended."
"A lovely location, rippling stream and small lakes. Everything you need for a well earned respite . Reception was very welcoming too.The lodges were more than adequate. Wifi was a bit hit and miss but it didn't spoil anything. Near to Llangollen too,plenty of lovely places to eat if you dont fancy cooking.. looking forward to returning. "

"The lodges are very well designed and attractive with good amenities, however it could do with a lot of TLC, the walls were all marked/scuffed, everywhere needed a good paint job.
Wasn’t the cleanest of properties with debris on the floor downstairs which I hoovered up.
Bedrooms neat and tidy with fresh bedding and towels.
Jacuzzi was lovely and well maintained.
Just a little more time spent on cleaning and maintenance and it would have been percect"
