Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. "Yet another great stay at the Castle. Rooms always warm and clean but if you want operating theatre cleanliness this is perhaps not the place for you! We love this place for its character and of course the peacocks. Staff always friendly and helpful. See you again in a few weeks!"
"This is a terraced house, rather than a “cottage” but is extremely well presented and is in an excellent location. Only five minutes walk to the centre of Mold with all the restaurants, shops etc. Parking in the street is always available, although not always directly outside the house itself. If parallel parking is not your thing there’s a giant car park one minutes walk away which is free from 3pm to 8am and very cheap the rest of the time. Highly recommended for an evening meal is the Deadwood Smokehouse (if you’re not vegetarian). "
