A friendly welcome to the property. Although nowhere in the village to eat in the evening, we were recommended a restaurant 5 minute drive away in Corwen. Straightforward continental breakfast in the morning available. As the pub shut at 10pm, there was no late night noise so enjoyed a good night's sleep. A great base for exploring the area.

As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome from Phillip, the Pub Manager, who couldn't do enough for us - so helpful. The Apartment had every home comfort that we needed and was spotless - cleanliness was first class. Such a comfy bed, lovely big shower - great tv and efficient central heating that we only needed for 5-10 minutes in the morning, so I would highly recommend this Apartment. Handy, friendly Spar shop next door - We were in beautiful Wales for a Wedding but it was a great base to visit many places of interest If you book you won't be disappointed🤗👍

An amazingly clean and well furnished property. The only downside was the lack of a mirror in the bathroom. The floor fan was a welcome addition. A fantastic young lady who welcomed us and served a lovely pint behind the bar. She was in full control of the facilities. A fulfilling breakfast in lovely surroundings. A great accommodation in a beautiful village. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at home away from home

Great apartment, more of a 1 bedroom house as two floors. Clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything needed (eg kitchen appliances, cutlery, plates, oven pots and pans). Bar over the road and Spar shop next door for convenience.

We had a warm welcome and the property worked very well for us for a one night stay with our 1 year old. There is some traffic noise being next to the main road through the village, but it is hardly a busy street! The property was clean, spacious and laid out well. Kitchen facilities very useful, as was the Spar shop over the road.

Had an amazing time. The apartment was in great location with off rd car park around the back of property. Very spacious apartment for 2 and was spotless and had everything you need for a break away. The Blue Lion was just across road. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The locals made us feel like it was our local pub we made new friends for life iam sure. The pub served excellent food and nothing was too much trouble. Will be returning there soon hopefully.

O.k. for a short stay

We stayed at the Blue Lion for two nights. We received a friendly welcome by the bar staff who had to manage the pub and the hotel on their own. Apart from a cleaner on the morning of the second day, personnel seemed to be on the premises only during pub opening hours. Everything, including breakfast was self-service. However, after a while we became aware that the shop opposite belonged to the same company, and I guess we could have contacted them had the need arisen. All we needed was provided, and in the end that is all one can expect. One improvement I can suggest is to provide the ancient single-glazed window with a stay, so that it can be kept in a partially open position if ventilation is desired over night. I don't think I would have chosen this particular establishment for a longer holiday, but it was perfectly adequate for a short stay.

The hotel is situated in a quiet village with just the pub downstairs and a little spar shop opposite. Arrived having booked a hotel with a restaurant after a busy day trekking in snowdon to be told no food was bejng served. No alternatives offered. The room was meant to be kingsize deluxe it was very small, only one little window opening out to pubs smoking area. Actually would have had a nicer experience in a budget chain hotel. Not good value for money.

Not for the quiet ones.

The pub is obviously aimed and young couples that like banging music and football. On arrival we were told there was no bar food available after 7.00pm because the Euro's football competion was on and all that was available was a BBQ, not what I wanted to hear seeing at this is the only pub in the small village (owner should have communicated this to us before hand out of courtesy). Rave/Ibiza music playing at full blast on the 80 inch screen in the beer garden, and two young fellas decided to keep us up until 2.00am after coming up from the party going on outside untill 12.30. If you like that sort of thing then this is definately worth a stay, but not for us. However on a positive note, the room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable.
