"Fantastic place. Newly updated and nice and clean. Nothing super special, but who wants to stay in your room all day when you’re in such a beautiful area. Very close to the

, places to eat, etc. Used it as a jumping point for the airport, even though it was a pretty good distance away. Definitely recommend. Be aware this is an older style motel where your room opens up to the outside and your car is parked out there."

"We had a wonderful time during our stay here. Francis was wonderful with the communication and even went above and beyond and mail a few items the kids left behind. It is the perfect location and exactly what we were looking for family/kid friendly plus close to the
beach
. A well-appointed kitchen and with a great setup for eating dinner in the backyard and sitting around the fire pit telling stories! We can't wait to make it an annual trip! Thank you."

"We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The grounds were immaculate, and the setting very peaceful. Great location with an east drive to the dunes, several hikes, beaches and Empire, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. We met Bruce, the owner, one morning and he was very friendly and gave us suggestions for hiking, restaurants and beaches. Would highly recommend!"

"14 family members fit very comfortably in this nice house. The area is amazing, with the dunes, Glen Arbor, Empire & Traverse City. We canoed down Crystal River, swam at many Lake Michigan beaches & went on long bike rides. We rented a pontoon & tubed & swam. The only down side was that the lake had the swimmer’s itch & it is very shallow in front. Luckily, Lake Michigan is very close. The house is well equipped (non stick pans are needed). Many great memories were made at this house!"
