"The truest test of a review is would we stay there again? The answer to that is sadly a no. Nothing particularly wrong, just not really a good value all things considered in the end. The property is well positioned in the city for access to grocery, chain restaurants, coffee houses and the #8 bus. There is a busy street, particularly popular on weekends nearby. "Having paid for a reservation several months ago for two nights 24-26th June when I checked in I was told there was no room available. The receptionist claimed there was an IT issue but the hotel was very busy so clearly other people had been checked in. The apology was absolutely minimal, no compensation and no effort made to inform me in the days leading up to the reservation there was an issue. I found the whole experience highly unacceptable for a global corporation to behave letting me down...

"We received a lovely welcome when we checked in and we were upgraded to a larger room with a waterside view. The hotel is perfectly located for the Bristol Sounds events and provides easy access to a wide range of food and drink options. We booked for bed and breakfast and we are glad we did, the buffet breakfast offered a selection of hot and cold choices and the breakfast room is delightful."

"Great location, easy secure indoor parking, Lucy on the front desk was terrific. Granted there was a heatwave going on but the front facing room we had was baking hot on arrival. Drawing the curtains would have helped a little and although one fan was on, another would have been even better. Some iced water on arrival would have been a nice touch. Small details but its attention to detail that really counts in hospitality. Look forward to returning! Thank you."
