"Loved the historical features in the hotel and room whilst it still felt modern and updated. Staff were friendly and helpful and the on-site restaurant was great food and convenient - we were even able to take wine back to our room from there even though it's separately operated from the hotel. Room was spacious - though we requested one bed, we were allocated a twin room - not a big deal as the beds were still comfortable, it just wasn't acknowledged that the room preference could not be met....

"We liked Elken so much that we came back 2 more times after coming back from Chile and from El Chalten. In total we spent 4 or 5 days there. The hotel is by the lake and overlooks El Calafate from 10 Kms away. At night you have a beautiful view of the city lights. The place is quiet. The owner, Miriam, is great. "Konke is about 5 minutes from El Calafate downtown, offering quick, direct access to all downtown offers. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is continental, with an excellent assortment of pastries and good coffee. It has two floors, but no lift to second floor. Would select Konke again if we ever return to El Calafate. "
