"The staff are awesome, the breakfast is good, we had dinner and it was good too. The hotel is close by the city center. Take a 5 min walk to some stairwell and walk downstairs to the center. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay there again."

"This hotel is a nice inexpensive option for a room that we needed to stay at for 1 night as we had traveled from El Chalten after hiking Fitz Roy. Staff was really helpful with check-in and everything we needed. Even offered to help carry luggage upstairs. Hotel is not really downtown and requires a car to go out to eat etc (5 minutes drive). The night we stayed it was really windy and we could hear the wind howling around our bathroom window. No worries, as we were really tired and slept...

"Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Linda Vista. It is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day yet close enough to restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with smiles and felt right at home. The daily breakfast is perfect and left us full well into the afternoon. Would love to return to El Calafate and stay here again! :)"

"For the first 3 mornings the water would randomly turn off, and i'd be left without any water. After multiple complaints each morning was this finally resolved. The lack of heating control per room was also difficult to bare as it meant switching between an open and closed window"

"Book Don Pepe for the convenience. Easy walk to downtown. This is a low cost, very simple place. The rooms are suitable, low cost rooms. Beds were surprisingly comfortable (although obviously old), showers had strong hot water (although small with a plastic shower curtain that sticks to you while you shower). "The hotel is well-located less than a 10 minute walk to the main strip but in a very quiet area just uphill. If you don't like walking uphill or downhill this may not be the place for you, but I found it very convenient. The room is clean and simple, pillows are comfortable, water is hot. The breakfast is great, it actually includes a small portion of eggs with the usual pastries and tea/coffee. The view from the breakfast room over the town and onto the lake beyond is gorgeous."

"This hotel is old and basic. Some areas are in poor shape, there was water damage, it has poor insulation and it got very hot, there was no AC or even enough fans for individual rooms. Employees cannot do much for their guests because the multiple problems have been reported many times and repairs are not made."
