It was old with a moldy bathtub and dingy carpets. Still, there was a lot of space and the access to the pool/sauna/hot tubs, etc, made it overall a good value.

Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate
An absolute gem This hotel was excellent - the rooms are all in keeping with the history of the building. The staff were amazing- many thanks to the maintenance man who told us so much of the house history. The food was excellent and we had some great wine. Loved every minute x

Melville Castle
We were looking for a castle stay in Britain as kind of a "bucket list" item. The Melville isn't exactly a "castle," more of a retired/repurposed palace, but the overall experience was what we were looking for - suits of armor, antique paintings and so on.
