Craig is a warm and knowledgeable host who shared with us information on the history of the hotel as well as provided us with a map, restaurant recommendations (We took his recommendation and ate at The King's Wark which was great food) and gave us a tour of the room and the common space. Our room was perfect for our overnight stay. The room was in great shape and perfectly maintained (not an easy task with an older facility) Our stay was perfect and will book with Pillar House the next time we stay in Edinburgh"

"Cannot say enough how wonderful this hotel is, the bed was so comfortable and had lovely cosy linens on it, the room itself was well done up and had a view of a beautiful clock tower, and the breakfast served was amazing! Our only regret is not eating supper at the restaurant, I’m sure it would have been amazing too!"
