"The room (sleeping 3) was clean and spacious. It faces the back, so it was quiet despite major road and traffic going by the front of the building. Convenient location: Shopping center with Aldi is in 10-minute walking distance, and bus stop with connection to the city center right in front of the hotel. (You don't need a car in the city of Edinburgh). Staff wasn't overly friendly. The gentleman working at the reception disappeared when he saw my heavy suitcase...So did housekeeping upon check-out. Please provide lock boxes in the rooms and some shelves in the bathroom. Overall, my stay was pleasant and served my needs. I would stay there again (with less luggage...;))"

"This is a super cozy option close to the city with buses stopping just outside. The hotel is very quiet which is a huge plus. The breakfast was something extra - a really luxurious serving with additional options included. My only problem was that the pillows were far too stuffed - it was difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in. The bed was otherwise very soft and comfortable! "

"We had a great 3-night stay at the Cairn Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for all the places we wanted to visit. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed. It was nice to have complimentary crisps, biscuits and water too. We appreciated having an electric fan in the room, as it got a little warm in there with not being able to open the windows. Would definitely stay again :)"

"A good stay at the Destiny Student accomodation. Check in was easy, most of it done before arrival. Room was nice, clean, basic but good. Only 15 minutes walk from train station, a few minutes from Hollyrood and the Scottish parliament builds. Would use this again, different from a 5 star hotel but gives you more money to spend on activities "

"The property it self is lovely feels really posh ,location is great and were had a free up grade too which was a bonus ,the only thing i was a bit confused about was the cleaners came in your room everyday with fresh towels ect but never made the bed,other than that it was perfect "
