"Gentleman at front desk reception was wonderful, the staff in the restaurant/bar for both dinner and breakfast were cold and unfriendly. Wonderful view of the fjord right on the water, however be aware that there is a fish factory and at times the smell is extremely strong. Loved our clean and comfortable room."

"Nice room no complaints. Restaurant was expensive but good. Loved loved hiking the area around the hotel! Beautiful forest and just behind the hotel is a nice hike up to a large waterfall. Also hengifoss waterfall is about a 10 minute drive away and probably my favorite waterfall I saw in Iceland "

"Loved the lobby or seen that was available for guest. Honor bar with free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea! Games and books to use during stay. Great area to relax!"

"It was good. Nice and comfortable. The refrigerator didn't work, but they came and fixed the situation...literally immediately. Easy self-checkin. My only complaint was the party at the bar next door, where folks were carrying on very loudly until about 3 am. Not the hotel's fault...I don't think."

"Got caught here during a snow storm and they easily accommodated an extension. The rooms are big although we had to fully get everything out of the room so that they could clean. Breakfast was great. Decor was dated, but that would be my only minor complaint. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Small town, not much to do except for the baths and puffins (which we couldn’t see because the road was closed)."
