"Positives: The cabin was super cute. The trail to Loch Leven lakes was a 5min walk away. Up the road (about a 10min walk) is a swimming hole. There was access to the river behind the house but not really a place to layout, I am also not sure if it was part of someone's property. Not so positives: I do wish there was screen doors on both the front and back doors to allow for a better breeze to come in. We also had issues with the hot water staying on. Day 2 we figured out you needed to run the sink first then the shower would stay hot. Water also leaked from the shower so we used an extra amount of towels to keep the floor dry, easy fix if silicone caulking is added. Other than that we loved the place and would definitely stay there again. "

"We had a great time at the Lost Mine Retreat. The house is exactly as described and pictured on VRBO. The location is a bit isolated being 15 minutes from Nevada City and a few minutes from Scott's Flat Reservoir, but it's very quiet and private at the house. The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub worked great and the paddle boards and kayaks were a bonus. It was also nice walking down around the nearby neighborhood pond although the mosquitos were brutal in May. The bears are definitely active in this area, so be careful with your trash!"

"We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Rocky Cliff Retreat. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and perfectly nestled in the beautiful Sierra Mountains. The owner was very approachable and responsive, which made everything smooth from start to finish. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and cozy atmosphere. A few mosquitos here and there, but nothing that took away from a great stay. Highly recommend!"

"The place is a really good property it was nice and clean but unfortunately I have allergies and the cleaner they use left a smell that gave me a slight headache and I was congested and my two partners said they were kind of congested too and they're not major allergy suffers like me so the cleaner maybe a little strong I don't know if that's what it was or not that's just my experience but other than that everything was great clean well maintained good location"
