"This was our first ryokan experience. The service was incredible throughout - very easy to communicate with the hotel team, who were very responsive and helpful. "Nice, large Japanese style rooms right on the river. Excellent breakfast, buffet with lots of options for everyone. Easily walkable into town with lots of dining options there, as long as you get there early. (A few are open later). Ping pong table as well; and karaoke rooms (for a fee). We rented the private onsen for an hour for our family, since the kids were shy about using the public ones. "

" It's was a treat to stay in a traditional Ryokan-difficult to tell if this is really traditional or not. The onsen was nice, the futon beds were small and uncomfortable, the food looked spectacular but was pretty disappointing, very expensive dinner especially as there are so many nice places for a lot less near by. Breakfast was includde and again looked great but wasn't for us, so we cancelled 2 out of 3 days. Ideally located to explore the area with great views of Fuji about a 2 min walk...

"This property is self check in. There is no front desk and staff are few and far between. They are largely out of sight. We did not receive our entry code information 24 hours ahead as promised.
