"Staff were not helpful. The hot water was turned off. We had to ask them to turn off the hot water tank serving the two rooms we had booked. After a week of travelling we had dirty clothes needing to be laundered. The receptionist said the laundry would be ready the afternoon the day after we arrive. "Check in was friendly and efficient. Room spacious and comfortable. Plenty of showers and toilets. Decent breakfast and kitchen space for guest use. Cute outside space with an adorable family of rabbits. Hostel is located centrally so really easy to find and get out to explore Xalapa and surrounding area. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay on a budget. "

"In a lifetime of cheap hotels this is the first one where I was afraid I would be injured!..no one at check in ..no welcome... toilet did not work...knocking and scaping noises at random times ...power drill all afternoon..there was 1 Cheap plastic hanger...no water or glasses...no chair or desk ( I dragged a heavy wood bench in from hallway) no place to put toiletry items..vague sewer odor..Balcony door would not slide ( took all my strength to push it shut..feared being hurt...ditto bathroom...

"We stayed one night. (More like five hours) We were exhausted and another hotel was not near by. Room are old and smelled bad. Light switch was not working in the bathroom. There were cables exposed in wall-box. Toilet dispenser had a layer of greasy, sticky dirt; similar to the coat one could find in a exhaust fan of a crappy gas station. "

"It was okay. The neighborhood was not the best... by far. You cannot walk outside once light has thinned down but, we used it only to sleep. We had to stop over in the town so, it was fine. Inside, the rooms and dinning rooms were very good though."
