"This is a very impressive hotel. No detail is left out. From the service on check in to the restaurant and bar all was excellent. Be sure to make dinner reservations as it was booked on our arrival. However, we had a great meal and exceptional service having dinner at a hi top on the bar. "

"We were greeted with a smile and wonderful service. Parking was available for €7 per night. A lift took us up to the 4th floor. Our room was adequate. Enough space for two large suitcases. All was clean. Very impressed. Breakfast was amazing. All was there for a full breakfast if wanted and the staff were very attentive. The position of the hotel was perfect. "It is close to the train station and the busy Cathedral Cologne and there can be some sense of a lot of people - but once you step inside it's a fabulous retreat. Great service, we had a beautiful room. The breakfast is very expensive and just "okay" so go across the street to the Cafe Richard. Close to the "historical sections" and close to the water. Would stay here again for sure."

"This is a wonderful property in a countryside setting with an equally nice restaurant. I had enjoyable stays there before. However, service and reception quality seem to have deteriorated over the years. On our last stay, we were not even able to use the room we had booked: The reception was closed when we arrived within the stated opening hours, I could find no keys, and no phone number could be reached. Aggressive behavior around my later request for a refund. So I will not be back."
