"At in superb grounds and a golf course, as you drive up the long entrance road and look at the view over the Firth of Clyde you will be delighted. Checkin was quick and the team there extremely helpful. Comfortable room and bed only thing missing is air conditioning as it was a warm night. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice. Due to the amount of stairs and no lift (elevator for the Americans) to get to the rooms I suspect it’s not accessible to all but there may be rooms...

"Stayed at this hotel for one night after returning from a holiday. I’ll start off by saying, the staff who were actually there were amazing, and totally blameless. However, this hotel is abysmal. We arrived just as 2 busloads of French tourists were checking in. The poor receptionist was run off her feet, but stopped what she was doing to help us. She explained that the hotel was closing the following Wednesday for refurbishment and the staff had been told that they were losing their jobs. ...
