"Could NOT get room cooler. Adjusted AC on thermostat and also turned unit to lowest setting, but we roasted. Couldn’t open Windows because no screens against mosquitoes. We drove from Ancona and with a little help from Sarira who guided us to the Hotel via telephone found the hotel which is a little way outside Macherata and bit particularly well sign posted. "I could have spent a month here. Breakfast alone was worth the stay. The area is beautiful, idealic, and quiet. It is not touristy at all. I plan to fly back to Italy just to stay here to relax. Le Marche is an overlooked gem."

"Hotel is beautiful - but if you have a lot of baggage - there is NO ELEVATOR and lots of stairs, making that a bit of a slog. Staff is professional and friendly - the hotel is in the central square - you can park outside to drop off your things, then drive a block away and park in free street parking. The rooms are clean and mine included a washing machine. Linens are high quality - I did not use the spa but it looked fantastic. it's a beautiful hotel in a lovely small town. "
