"WONDERFUL staff and LUXURIOUS accommodations make The Benson a MUST stay in downtown Portland. Palm Court Restaurant & Bar was a favorite for its food and friendly service. Despite not having bell service available (still scratching my head on that one), The Benson's sheer beauty and accommodating staff certainly make up for that lack of service. The location, while convenient, does provide cause for pause as there is boarded up property, graffiti, and some homeless nearby."

"It was a short stay to attend the Orrin Shakespearen Festival. It was close enough to walk to OSF which was a plus. "

"Staff was nice, bed was pretty comfortable. I liked that there wasn’t those typical hotel toiletries they have actual bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Other guests weren’t loud or bothersome which was nice since we had our 4month old with us. Breakfast was very good and a nice selection. "

"I stay at this hotel frequently and have always had a great experience here. Clean, quiet, and relatively safe. I will say, there are some sketch people around, and I have noticed some sketch cars parking in the parking area, but I havent had an issue with car break ins or anything like that, but it is an issue in the area, so use yiur big city know how and leave nothing in your car. There is some airport noise, as Alaska seems to have changed their flight path to be directly over the hotel, but...

"Reasonable. Rooms were good size. Elevator smelled and stains on comforter. Breakfast was ok."

"Very spacious room with sofa and desk area. Very comfortable king sized bed. Spacious entrance lobby with coffee/ tea and cooled water to drink as well as plenty of chairs. Large retro 4 person pacman machine. The hotel is central to the town and very easy access to the rail station and with very close access to all key rail/streetcar and buses. Immediately to riverside of the hotel is an excellent food cart site with many interesting options. Great value. "
