"For £200 a night we expected everything to work. For example, there was a beautiful marble setting but the heating was not on and there was no clear way of controlling the temperature in the room which was in a cold downstairs location. On a previous visit in a cheaper room we had an iron provided , a functioning coffee machine and milk and a larger table. This was a warm cosy room.The coffee machine this time did not work. "We booked our trip the day before as a last minute break. Sabine is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The gite is very close to the Belgian border and we visited several historic sites as well as a brewery tour. Would highly recommend as a base for anyone wishing to explore Passchendale, Ypres and other WW1 places of interest. Thank you Sabine, we very much enjoyed our stay."

"We were given a room with a connecting door into another room, the door did not fit well and was not soundproof, with some improvisation with a first aid plaster managed to get a better fit. Not impressed at all. As with all premiere class hotel I have stayed at in the last 2 weeks, has seen better days, and now in need of refurbishment."

"Wonderfully quaint B&B in and old mill. Our room was right up in the roof space. Might not be suitabe for some as the stairs are very steep and windy, and our room had two low beams at face height, but it certainly had character and charm."

"Lovely old building in the main square, with the entrance on the other side of the block. Undergoing renovations, so parts of the hotel were nice and fresh, but other parts were covered up. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. It's worth getting a room with a view over the square."
