"Public bath beautiful "

"Comfortable rooms with blackout curtains and good sound proofing to ensure a good night's sleep. There was some road noise since the hotel only has 5-6 floors, however it was not a busy road. They had a good sized bathroom with separate bath area and excellent amenities. The hotel has an entrance from the Kyoto train station, and is close to many shopping centres and restaurants. Overall I was happy with the place and would recommend it."

"Very nice hotel within walking distance of Kyoto Station. We were given great suggestions by the front desk. Nice area off of the lobby for morning coffee and, although we didn’t take advantage of it, there was a nice breakfast area as well. "

"Fantastic hotel! 4-star rated but more of a 4.5 star. The entrance to the hotel immediately conveyed upscale. Hotel is located directly across the street from the hub of Kyoto Station. Tons of shopping! Our view from our 9th floor room allowed us to see the bullet trains arriving and departing from the station. Impressive! When we arrived, despite there being a staffed front desk, there was a lineup of arriving guests to an advanced check-in kiosk system which was organized. And there were English-speaking attendants there ready to assist if after a long flight we could not figure it out. We paid a hotel local tax fee of an additional 1500 Yens (reasonable), though we had paid for our stay in full with Expedia. Expedia had noted that there maybe a local hotel fee, so we were aware but was not sure how much it would be. That was for two of us and for a 4-night stay. As we finished our check-in process through the kiosk, a porter arrived and offered to take our luggage to our room, took a copy of our room key and lead us to the elevator, where he showed us how to use the key to allow for the elevator floor button selection. Took us to our room where he entered first to ensure that all was in order. Then indicated for us to enter (we arrived for their standard early 2pm check-in, so it was bright and the drapes were open). Bright, very modern and cheerful decor, and then the amazing view of the cityscape, including that of the bullet (shinkansen) train. Great stay!!"

"Absolutely wonderful. Stayed three nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The triple room was amazing, and even more so considering the great price. Spacious room with a fantastic walk in shower. Excellent staff and service, and the complimentary sake service each evening was a nice surprise. And the location cannot be beat. Minutes from the subway, Shijo Ohashi, Gion, etc etc. I highly recommend the Hotel Forza, and we most certainly will be staying here again the next time we visit Kyoto. "
