"A place to feel at home – warm staff, real sustainability, stunning ocean views We spent 9 days at the Jaz Elite Aurora and were sad to leave. The hotel transfer (€100, approx. 1 hr 40 min) worked perfectly. Don’t worry if the last stretch looks remote: the hotel is new and the access road isn’t finished yet. We arrived at 10 am, were welcomed warmly, had breakfast right away and got our room by noon. The open, wall-free common areas with lots of wood feel very Zanzibar, and sustainability is...

"The property was very nice and the room was clean. The staff was courteous and the owner was very helpful. The room had no air conditioning and the power went off for about 4 hours in the middle of the night. It was very hot and difficult to sleep. Also the water pressure was barely a trickle making showering almost impossible. "

"Alles was goed we hadden een top vakantie"

"Tout était parfait, l’accueil, le service, la propreté. Le personnel est vraiment au petit soin"

"كانت الاقامه ممتازه و تتميز بالهدوء والراحه و كان الاكل جيد ولكن ينقصه التنوع في البوفيه"

"Unfortunately, our two-week stay was quite disappointing, mainly due to the food and poor organisation. The biggest problem was that there simply wasn’t enough food for all the guests. The menu was very limited at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At first, we thought we were arriving too late, but even when we started coming earlier, there was still not enough food and very little choice. We have stayed at many hotels in Zanzibar, and we have never experienced anything like this before. I find...

"We were very excited to stay at this hotel after seeing the photos, but unfortunately it turned out to be a major disappointment. First of all, there was no proper hot water in our room. Even though we reported the issue to the reception several times, it was not addressed promptly. We were eventually told that, in order to get hot water in the shower, we first had to run the hot water in the bathtub and wait. In addition, dirty water came out when we turned on the taps. There seemed to be...

"Fint hotell och härliga pooler. Mycket trevlig personal och bra mat. Fin strand med havet precis utanför. Vi var mycket nöjda "

"If you want to enjoy beaches on the East coast of Zanzibar, which are clean and not overcrowded, Breezes in Dongwe is a good place to go. For a half board and not an all inclusive hotel, Breezes is relatively expensive in comparison, because the room rates are high and you will pay every lunch and every drink extra. The food and the drinks are good but not as good as the room rate and the prices (to be paid in US Dollars) would suggest and it might not be the cook’s or the barman or barmaid’s...

"Super"

"We stayed in the ocean front bungalow and it was fantastic , the resort is small, quiet and safe , the food and the staff are excellent , the pool was beautiful . The beach was fine beautiful white sand . We had a great time . The manager was very accomodating and arranged all are taxis and transfers . Great trip."

"You get what you pay for. It is close to not so developed areas so you do need to walk around 5 minutes to get to the beach. Food is ok, gym is a joke, a lot of lizards but thats out of their control. Overall not a bad place if your looking for a hotel less than $100 a night,"

"Great hotel"

"All the staff and general manager Mr Kunal were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond their duties. Even the security team made us feel safe and secure. We left our kids for few hours and they made sure they didn't leave the complex and we're kept safe. Joshua, Joe, Kunal, and the all the team in the kitchen catered for all our needs. The location is perfect for quiet stay. The pools are deep but that help d my son to boost his confidence and he was fine swimming. Food at breakfast was...

"We absolutely loved our stay at Reef & Beach! The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, the site was beautiful, the food and drinks were delicious (and the range of cocktails included in the all-inclusive package were wonderful, which often isn’t the case), and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea view bungalow which was amazing! The only potential area for improvement could be the bathroom in our bungalow - compared to the public toilets on site the finish was a little...
