We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located within walking distance of all the major spots. The hotel also offers a trolley service to the beach, and for other destinations, transportation is available for a small fee, which was very convenient.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I appreciated the laundry service, enjoyed spending time by the pool, and felt well taken care of throughout my stay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a DJ, which created a great first impression and set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
I would absolutely recommend this property and would happily stay here ag
Welcoming and professional staff with 24/7 concierge service via WhatsApp. Well sized rooms, incredibly clean with good amenities (luxury shower kits, shaving kits, hair dryer, gown, slippers).
Fantastic turn down service and benefits at the hotel - they’ve got a low cost Tuk-tuk on site and buggy to the beach for free. Very good WiFi.
Really nice hotel restaurant with a range of breakfast options that are well tied to the wellness theme.
Good location that’s close to hotspots like Maalum and a 30min drive to Salaam Cave. 24/7 security.
This property was amazing, and so was the staff. We stayed for 6 days and everyday the staff greeted us and were super nice. The rooftop restaurant was delicious ! Everything we ate was amazing. We felt super safe even though outside of the hotel the area isn’t the best , but we still felt safe enough to explore. The beds were comfortable, and internet was good. We did experience 2 short power outages. Other than that, I would definitely come back here.
This was such a beautiful hotel and with transport to the beach. The staff and the manager ensured we had the best experience! Definitely one of our highlights!
New hotel ( 2024) super fancy rooms! Best restaurant and not expensive at all. Spesial thanks to Patrick for splendid service! Gym , yoga studio and all that you need to stay fit
Had a fabulous stay in this brand new hotel!
Convenient location, it’s close to the beach either by walk or with free buggy ride offered by Samawa hotel.
Loved the health and fitness options.
Thumbs up for fully equipped gym, trying the ICE BATH was a personal highlight.
Felt pampered during stay, left amazed with the overall experience. Top stay hotel!
Where do I begin... such a beautiful place, a place with beautiful people! I loved every second of my stay, I felt safe from the moment I got there, and so welcomed. The service and hospitality is top tier, never experienced anything on this level. The food was amazing, the massage I booked and the meditation class. Just what I needed in one place. The photos don't do the place justice, my room was so beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend this place!
I recently stayed at Samawa Hotel and had an outstanding experience! The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from the beach, with a free buggy shuttle making access effortless. The rooms are luxurious and beautifully decorated.
The food was exceptional, with every meal a culinary delight. The hotel also boasts fantastic wellness facilities, including a great gym, an ice bath, and yoga and kickboxing classes. Overall, Samawa Hotel is a gem for beachside retreats with top-notch comfort, dining, and wellness activities. Highly recommended!
Me and my girlfriend spent time in Zanzibar to celebrate our birthdays. I found Samawa Living as I looking for a nice Place to stay for the week. Booking our room was straightforward and they even supporting with transportation from the Airport and back, which will cost a fee since it is an hour away. Upon checking we were greeted by the host that evening and shown our beautiful room. Also the food was amazing as well. Please not that this a Muslim country for the most part and the don't eat pork. Which was fine but please make sure you try the Beef Bacon. Lastly I would recommend taking advantage of the amenities. my lady and I got a massage that was so amazing and I also spent time in the mini Gym getting some workouts in as well the ice bath. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
The hotel is new, opened 2 months ago, everything was clean and they have an awesome garden in the front, some beautiful plants inside and a great pool with comfortable sunbeds.
The room was excellent, beautiful decorated, great bed, huge shower with a lot of water but water is only a little warm to cold, wished I could get it a bit warmer. They have high quality products from Inaya and a nice soap from seaweed which I loved.
They prepare your room for the night and served a tea with some fresh leaves, we just had to put hot water, we loved the idea but they should give mores leaves, we did not drink it as after 10 min it still only tasted as hot water.
About the food, breakfast was okay, there are a lot of options with eggs and a few other options, each of us had one avocado toast, then we shared one banana bread(like a cake) and one fruit plate. We asked for one bowl with yogurt, but for us it was not available, only for other guests, was a bit strange. Did we already order too much?
Dinner was ok. We ordered the ceviche but the fish did not have ceviche quality. The Bowl with tuna was great and high quality, portion could be a little bigger but eventhough I would recommend it. We also had the shrimps but for me they were too spicy.
The Beach Service with the Jeep worked very good, the driver is very helpful and friendly.
It is near the Beach but we would not want to walk the Street as a Tourist, there are some men hanging up there and it is an isolated Street.
We loved our stay at the Samawa living hotel. Great room rooms, loved the outdoor shower, good food in the restaurants and they had a great band for the Sunday night barbecue dinner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it and we’ll stay there again if we return to Zanzibar.
Our time as a couple was perfect there. Beautiful and big suites with enough room to have your own comfort zone. This was by far one of the cleanest hotels we stayed in. People at the 24/7 reception are very friendly and always eager to help you. The people at the pool, the restaurant and room services are very polite and forthcoming. We stayed for 2 weeks and at some point it felt like a family. Within those two weeks we sang multiple times "Happy Birthday" with the whole group (even the chefs).
They tend to clean the rooms every single day which was a bit too much for us. We prefer every other day but I guess they thrive for that cleanliness. Might not be the best for the environment but its worthy to mention that they operate on solar and also have their own small herb bed.
The gym was not the biggest and best equipped but for a hotel gym still very good.
The beach is half a mile away. They offer to escort you anytime you request, but its still a 5-10 minute walk.
They offer many cool activities such as Monday-Morning Yoga, everyday Spa or Sunday Night Grill with Live Music.
Breakfast was included and very delicious. They offer many variants of sweet and hearty food. However, I did not like the coffee there. Having a Barista would make this place top notch. Still, pool menu and lunch/dinner menu is very delicious yet a bit small in options. Sometimes the people at the restaurant forgot a few things of our orders but were swift in making it up after letting them know.
The hotel staff are very rude. They keep asking me to pay for 1 night which I already paid at Expedia and they just charged the receipt and want to take extra money. At check out after i ignored them they ask me to pay for police, just they are very bad service

It’s a new hotel so the infrastructure is beautiful. It has no beach views but they arrange free buggy to the beach every day. I had made a booking for 2 but my little sister was an additional to the trip. We asked to pay an extra charge for her. We were told we should pay for an entire new room. We asked to pay for an additional mattress they said nope. “Very inflexible people” . I paid a lot extra for a 2 bedroom apartment. With a small single bed in one of the rooms and a double in another. I wouldn’t recommend this option for an adult. The bed is literally a “single” bed . This apartment had 2 bathrooms . 1st night 1 shower had cold water and and in the morning 1 toilet blocked 😏. We engaged house keeping which was responsive and helpful and in the morning within minutes of reporting a plumber came to sort this out. Unfortunately the plumbing issues left the apartment with a foul smell all night . This too I reported. They said they could send a plumber , that was like around 9pm. We were tired and we slept through it but appreciated their willingness to send a plumber. We slept through the foul smell . It’s a new hotel but they have some plumbing issues they need to resolve.
The restaurant food was great , enjoyed each bite 5/5. I would recommend their restaurant even if you just a day visitor and the restaurant staff amazing.
Housekeeping staff 0/5. Unfortunately no matter how beautiful a place is , it’s the bad treatment guests remember. Overall 3/5
Merci
