"The room was small, clean, no closet, difficult & slow TV with few channels. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was beyond excellent. Area was quiet, good access to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores."

"We loved the spacious, elegant areas downstairs, with beautiful pictures (dozens of them!) and period furniture and stylish decorations. There is tea and coffee downstairs at all times, we stayed there each night admiring the art. The staff was most helpful and friendly. Free parking was a bonus. The room (junior suite) was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom is really tiny. The hotel shows the signs of aging, and I hope it will be renovated because it is unique in its character. "Beautiful and upscale apartment. Great bedroom and master bathroom, great kitchen and great living room. The only weird thing is that if you have a guest staying in the living room on the pullout couch, the only bathroom is in the bedroom. But other than that, this is a great apartment. Great location and they even offer parking in the garage (for a fee). "

"We liked the staff and location. Food is very expensive in Iceland so the complimentary breakfast was great. There was a little bar if you fancied a drink. The lobby was cozy and was nice to visit with our friends. Our room 406 was oddly shaped if you are tall ask for a different room. It was also noisy there was a pub next door. We would stay again."

"This was a wonderful hotel, and I would recommend it to anybody staying in Reykjavik! The staff were so kind and polite, and the facilities were clean and relaxing. The location is perfect and walk able to many bars, shops, restaurants. We spent many days before the hotel in a camper van traveling and this was the perfect stop to end the trip for 2 nights. "
