"Check-in was a bit confuse due to the address of the property, Cleaniess: The 2 bathroom sinks in both bathroon has a funky smell. Other than that the bathrooms are cleaned. The wood floor is dirty and a bit old that need to be updated. Host: Very nice, very responsive and accommodation for us to check in a bit early on arrive date and check out a bit late on depart date. Location: very convinience close to shopping groceries, restaurant and bus stop."

"Awesome location & walkable to central Reykjavik shopping & dining, friendly staff (who even gave us an upgraded room - thanks!), the breakfast with warm sourdough bread was great & plenty of food to even pack lunches. We used this as our main base & took day trips & it worked perfectly. Room was modern & spotlessly clean. Beds were super comfy. They are doing construction by the main reception/hotel which was noisy. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone & we had a wonderful stay! "

"We were initially concerned about the parking situation and the staff wasn’t very helpful but there was an immediate shift change and the new staff was extremely helpful. Once we found the deck and figured out how to pay, parking was good for a major city. Location was great for us!"

"Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. It's a little bit loud outside especially if the room is towards the street, but window is reasonably sound-proof. One issue was that when I first arrived there were a few blood drops in the bath towels, but after I raised that issue the room service was all good for the rest of the stay. Overall 4/5. "

"Excellent property in a prime area. Check in was smooth and communication with owners was easy. Only thing to be aware of is it is slightly tricky stairs to access, so have to be comfortable with stairs and carrying your luggage up them. Overall will stay again. "

"The room and the hotel are lovely. There were a few issues that we wish had been better. The TV kept blanking out, was hard to navigate channels and was way too low to bee seen from bed while watching the news! Minor, but worth mentioning. The LARGE picture windows had drapes that would not block the light from the corners requiring us to wear sleep masks every night. "What a fabulous place to stay. We really enjoyed our time there and found it a convenient location to walk to downtown Reykjavík while also being close enough to free street parking. "Location was great. Listing said the room had a toaster, but this was not true. Instructions for using the hotplate were insufficient, we had to ask for help when instructions should have said that the pot needed to be placed on the hotplate for it to work. (Apparently this is obvious to some people!) Overall we enjoyed our stay. "
