"It is a nice hotel with a good location that is reasonably priced. Staff was nice! Breakfast daily at the Buena Vista was very good. My recommendations would be improvement in the pillows. I travel weekly all over the world. These were the largest, hardest most uncomfortable pillows I have ever used. Would be an easy fix. A good night sleep is important. "

"We had an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. The room was amazing, great air conditioning with lots of room. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, Samuel, our bartender at the Tiki Bar was an absolute joy! For only $5 we were able to have our laundry done for us, and the private boat was able to pick us up right at our own dock at the hotel. BUT, the Aqua Lounge across the water was a nightmare. Almost every single night they blared music so loud that even a football field away...

"Great se luded place with an amazing beach. Our pool light was not working and they offered to change our villa (which we were very confortable) and since we refused they borrowed the golf cart instead for the full stay. Friendly staff and beach club. A bit far from the main village if you plan to go there for dinners, but there are 4 restaurants accesible and a market"

"Cool location in the lush jungle with walking paths and warm water! I only lost a little skin on the waterslide, but still so fun! The included hike to hospital point was surprisingly perfect. Nightime underwater glow worms were a trip! I didn’t book this room, but they put me in a sea urchin shaped upsides pool, it was cool. The second night I did get eaten alive by mosquitoes (from under the door and ceiling circle air vent wasn't a perfect closure. Fan was very needed, but still a bit hot one...

"The hotel sits right on the water in a neighborhood less than a 10 minute walk from the main water taxi stop. I liked it because it wasn’t touristy. I traveled with my 14 and 9 year old, and they loved the two hammocks by the dock. After a little hiccup at check in about a room that would accommodate us, we had a great experience with the staff. "Buccaneer was more or less what we expected based on other reviews. It worked for our family because we wanted an affordable option right on the beach (not just a dock over the water) because our kids are little (2 and 4). As mentioned by other reviewers the free breakfast at Bibi’s restaurant was frustrating because they never opened before 9 and our kids were hangry by then. The room was clean except that the place is infested with some type of termite so there’s a coating of their discharge...
