"I was lucky enough to have two weeks at Deer Bay Hideaway. Having spent all my childhood summers on this lake, it felt like a homecoming and was able to share the same experience with local family who also came out for visits. The cottage has a great aesthetic, with lots of space for our needs, and is comfy and relaxing. (Hint: dock coffee in the morning and shady hammock in the afternoon)The kitchen was well stocked with all the things you’d need; like dishes, cookware, coffee, etc…The use of the watercraft is awesome for local exploration, and the boat and motor was great for getting out fishing throughout the lake! We were able to have a fish fry dinner for the family as a result of the great fishing!Host’s Charmaine and Gary were responsive and helpful with any of my questions and even suggested local family friendly events as well. Definitely a great place to stay and a recharge of my soul. Highly recommended!Murray Vancouver July 4-18, 2025"
