"The room was clean but too small for two adults (2 beds). The heating was loud. There were no amenities except laundry, which closed at 11 p.m., during summer, when people stay out past midnight! There is no breakfast, which I thought there was. When I checked in after 9 p.m. I asked for a bottle of water and the lady at the desk (white) told me (African American) that there was no complimentary water and directed me to the vending machine. When I was checking out a white man asked if there was a water fountain where he could fill up his bottle and he was given 2 - not 1, but 2 - bottles of water from behind the desk. Go figure!! You also have to ask for shampoo, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, etc. They are not in the room! And the only bath soap is a small bar of hard soap. No body wash! I stayed for 3 nights, from Tuesday to Friday. Went out on Thursday and when I returned, both key cards, that were held one each by the 2 of us, were deactivated. Couldn't enter through the side doors, so I thought it was a side-door problem. Went to my room and was locked out. Went back downstairs and was told that I shouldn't keep the card next to my phone, where they never were placed. I had to restrain myself from saying something ugly to the lady. Been to many hotels in Anchorage. I live in Alaska and travel a lot. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Motel 6!"

"The mountain views shown on the site must relate to the top level apartments as our basement level one had an view into the car park from below ground level. We had trouble gaining access as there was something wrong with the entry code and it needed to be reset. Luckily one of the staff members was on hand and he was able to call and get this settled. The single room was adequate and everything worked OK but the decoration was tired. On the plus side the property was price competitive."

"The location was great. Close to everything. There was a wooded back yard that housed a moose which was neat to see. It was like a little cottage in the woods. The young man that lived in the connecting home was friendly and accommodating. The only negative, there was a loud popping noise that occurred often (almost hourly). Not sure if it was a water heater or something with the heating system. We kept the heat low in hopes it would stop but it didn’t. Woke us up all during the night. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

"We loved everything! Pleasant helpful staff, beautiful full breakfast every morning until 9:30 M-F and breakfast until 10:30am Sat and Sun. Nice large laundry FREE for guests FYI Walmart is literally across the small road to buy trail size laundry soap. The front desk does offer laundry soap to buy but Walmart has it for only $1.17 a load when you go to the travel size section in Walmart. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast for few days in a row had the same egg with cheese omelet. Some people don’t like cheese. We’d go down and it’s the same thing cheese. So you only had sausage but couldn’t have eggs because of plastic looking cheese. Yes they have waffles to make but you can’t have waffle everyday. You look for protein. I did get oatmeal. It made me think the ideas were running out or they just put up what was the most effortless to make depending on the employees that day. I think we had that cheese and egg omelet thing at least 4 days of our week stay. One day they had country fried chicken patty with gravy that was awesome that was a replacement for the cheesy eggs. Protein for the day!"

"Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. The property was in need of a deep clean and repair and I pointed this out to the host. I found a used eyelash in the upstairs bathroom, long black hair and likely pubic hair in tub. I spent two hours cleaning with my own supplies and ultimately the host was extremely rude, didn’t want to compensate me for any of my time spent cleaning and cancelled my reservation, effective the following day at 1pm. This put me in a bad situation, scrambling to find another place to stay for me and my two cats. (This was approved for animals as well)There is nothing boutique, quaint or charming about this place. Let alone a basic standard of cleanliness. It’s by a well known homeless encampment area where there was human feces in the designated parking spot for this place. Save yourself the money and hassle and book elsewhere."
