Highland Glen Lodge is one of the most charming places I’ve ever stayed. Tucked away just outside the hustle of downtown Anchorage, it feels like you’ve stumbled onto a secret retreat — quiet, cozy, and gorgeous! The real standout here is the decor. The whole place has this warm, Scottish lodge vibe with tartan touches, classic wood furniture, and little details that make it feel special. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious (yummy crepes and yogurt) and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — the kind of people who genuinely care that you're having a good stay. If you're looking for something upscale, peaceful, and totally unique, Highland Glen is a perfect pick. It’s a little off the beaten path, in the best way.
