"It's a beautiful old house and nicely located within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Plenty of parking in the back. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. My only complaint was with the shower controls! After fiddling with them for quite some time, I finally managed to get water at a reasonable temperature to flow from the shower head rather than in the tub, but even now I don't think I could repeat the process."

"We used the Red Lion as a base for a weekend break. The accommodation was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We could park right outside the room (so easy to carry our luggage to the room). Main meals were excellent but no Breakfast, but then again you are five minutes from many cafes. Bar was good. We will go back there in the future."

The location is great too - a short walk downhill into town and there is a local Spar just around the corner.Parking is a real bonus. "This property is what I would call quirky due to its age. There are steps down from the kitchenette into the lounge and steps from the lounge into the downstairs bathroom. I found the property to be clean and comfortable. Generally street parking worked ok but it’s a long walk to the seafront. "
