"Overall a nice stay. But it needs updating. Bathrooms small and old fixtures. House phone broke. Ceiling plaster fell down to the floor. Sliding door handle broke. Staff was helpful."

"I like this hotel it's a nice location and clean, really my only gripe was that the AC in the room is quite loud when it turns on to cool the temp. The vending machines used an app that was confusing, bring your own water and snacks. Still, I'd stay here again. I may bring my air purifier next time cus I'm allergic to dust and it's carpet. However I'm sensitive and it's clean and no reviews mentioned any pests, which is why I stayed. The tub seems like it has bubble jets too which is awesome, but I did not try."

Dana Point Vacation Rental Close To The Beach!

"The pros: nice size condo, well stocked kitchen, lg dining table, outdoor space, convenient location, plenty of parking, comfortable beds, 1.5 bathrooms, beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, boogie boards, a pack n playThe cons: having lived in DP myself for many years, the location is not in a desirable neighborheood - but NOT unsafe. The price reflects this. The Internet was unreliable and slow and info given to log in was incorrect. Communication was slow. It's a great spot for a girls or guys trip, people with older kids, or adults only. The tile floor made it hard with a 7 m/o and a 3 yr old, but easy to sweep up sand. It feels and looks like a bachelor pad, it could use a few homey touches. There were exposed cords everywhere, pictures clearly had been moved, but the walls left with big holes. You can see some effort, but could use more. The patio furniture outside is lower quality than what is listed online, so that was a bit of a disappointment.A few simple improvements I would recommend: placing a basket out with a clean kitchen sponge, extra paper towels, dish towels, higher quality trash bags, extra toilet paper in each bathroom etc. Making sure there's light bulbs in all the lamps-there wasn't, and working batteries in the remotes-there wasn't. Lastly the dishwasher is covered in soap film and smells really bad. It needs a proper cleaning. We did not use it because of this."
