"I did not expect too much as the hotel only had a two rating, however, I was thrilled to find a very comfortable and clean bed ( I slept very well and was happy to have FOUR nice pillows!), a very clean room, coffeemaker and coffee, a working refrigerator and microwave and a new big screen TV. The lighting was a bit dim in the vanity area for putting on makeup, but the water was hot, and the bath area had a new shower rod and curtain and the linens were white and appeared new. Overall, for the price, I would stay there again. It is walking distance to downtown. If it would have had a chair to sit on with a reading light, it would have been perfect. A new coat if paint would have made it just awesome. Clearly, they had just put new engineered hardwood flooring in, so no old carpet smell (the reason I did not go to their competition). I would have given it five stars if the stairs to my room had not been so frightening. Carrying luggage up there was tricky for an old lady! Also, the stairway handrails could use a wipe down and the clutter around the building could be removed to make the building more appealing. Again, I slept very well and I would definitely stay there again."
