"The people who run this hotel are absolutely lovely. They live in, are accessible, and are part of the hotel community. I couldn't have felt more like I was staying with family - safe, comfortable, welcomed. "
"Claudia was a lovely host and the premises were superb. Enjoyed the property and proximity to the lake. It is somewhat removed and off a busier road which makes it isolated and a solid drive to get any additional groceries or to get into town. Not an issue, but something to be mindful of. The cabin was well equipped and very clean. Big plus is the great deck and that it’s pet friendly. Would stay there again and recommend it to others. "
Log Home on Kootenay Lake, 3 bdrm, 2 bath, 2 king beds and 1 queen, Hot Tub.
10/10 Excellent
"This property had everything we needed- the cabin itself was more than enough room for the two of us and our dog- hikes up the path by the creek were daily occurrences. The view of the mountains on the deck is where we enjoyed our morning coffees and the days were spent on the water. Secluded beaches were minutes away and the wildlife in the area was as much their home as it was ours. The owner was quick to respond with any questions we had. I would recommend this stay a thousand times over! "
"We chose this hotel due to its proximity to multiple gold panning reserves, and were glad we did.
I found the Skimmerhorn to be your classic roadside Inn.
We were surprised at the available amenities, like a bbq pit, horse shoe pit as well as a playground; we didn't utilize them but were glad to have the option.
Check in was quick and friendly. The room (1 bedroom, 2nd level) was clean and stocked with what one person might need for a night or two. While not as comfy as our own, the bed was suitable for a good night's rest.
Overall, would stay again, and definitely hope to."
